The
Department of English of Sri Lankan School Muscat has organized Inter
House Debating Competition for the Silver Jubilee Year under three
categories; Key Stage 2, 3 and 4.
The parents are requested to fill the form given to the students and send them back immediately to the class teachers.
The Preliminary rounds will take place as mentioned below:
Key Stage 2 - 29th January
Key Stage 3 - 3rd February
Key Stage 4 - 6th February
Muscat Daily Listen Up Competition – Registration now on
Listen Up is an
initiative by Muscat Daily that aims to groom and hone public speaking
skills among students of various schools in the sultanate. The
competition, which has three categories, sees junior (eight to ten
years), middle (11 to 14 years) and senior (15 to 18 years) students
compete with their peers on both prepared and unprepared topics under a
stipulated time limit.
Sri Lankan School
has already registered to the contest. All he students who are
interested, please consult your English teacher for more information and
get yourself registered.

Silver Jubilee Language Day
Sri Lankan School Language Day is an observance held
annually to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and
multilingualism. The school which is a nest for over 1000 students
consists of around 20 language speakers. The department of English along
with the teachers of Sinhala, Tamil and Urdu languages organizes the
Language Day in a vibrant manner.
