Toastmasters International is a non profitable educational organization that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve their communication, public speaking, and leadership
skills. Through its thousands of member clubs, Toastmasters
International offers a program of communication and leadership projects
designed to help people learn the arts of speaking, listening, and
thinking.
In order to awaken the giant within you, the Principal of SLSM took the initiative to form a Toastmasters Club for the members of the staff and parents. The inaugural meeting of the Toastmasters Club held in the school premises on the 28th April 2014. A demonstration of a club meeting was organized by the Distinguished Toastmasters and others to enlighten the audience effectively.
Apart from the Toastmasters Club, the junior version called Gavel Club will commence within a few weeks time. The students from Year 7 to Year 10 can join the club.
